Log Severity Level Examples

The severity level you select affects what types of events are forwarded to your syslog.

When set to off, no events are forwarded to syslog.

An internal error that halts execution, such as disk failure, removal of both hard disks, or losing network connectivity.

Login attempt with incorrect username and password.

Adding a user or devices with existing name.

Adding or deleting users, devices, and so on.

Successful login and logout attempt, and login attempt with incorrect username and password.
