There are two RED indicators on the E1 appliance.
Power Fault and Overheat. Both generate the sonic alarm.

Power Fault LED is typically caused by not having both power cords attached to the unit. There could be cases where an actual Power Supply fails.
The Overheat LED means that the system is too hot and is typically caused by the heat sink being loose or not properly mounted, or a fan is not spinning, and so on. See E1 General Specifications for operating temperatures.
